Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team at the Verdala Wellness Hotel - AX Privilege. The ideal candidate will have a love for creating delicious and visually appealing breakfast dishes that cater to a diverse range of tastes. As a Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast items, ensuring all dishes are presented to our high standards of quality and freshness. You will also manage the breakfast station, oversee inventory, and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present a range of nutritious and flavourful breakfast dishes, ensuring consistency in quality, presentation, and taste to meet guest expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked breakfast station, ensuring that all necessary ingredients and equipment are available and in good working condition.
- Follow established recipes and preparation protocols, ensuring efficiency during service and maintaining a professional kitchen atmosphere.
- Conduct routine checks of the breakfast area to ensure it remains tidy, organised, and inviting for both kitchen staff and guests.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on breakfast options based on guest preferences, creating a tailored and enjoyable experience.
- Report any shortages in ingredients or equipment maintenance needs promptly to the Executive Chef or relevant departments.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations in the breakfast area, including proper handling of ingredients and equipment.
- Address guest requests and concerns related to breakfast in a courteous and timely manner, aiming to enhance their overall dining experience.
- Monitor guest feedback related to breakfast dishes and suggest improvements to maintain high standards of service and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques and menu items, including healthy and traditional options.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and manage multiple orders.
- A positive attitude and dedication to providing exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling.
- Experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel environment and/or a high quality a la carte restaurant.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the same position is required.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an asset.
