Gardener

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Gardener to join our team at the Verdala Wellness Hotel-AX Privilege. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the outdoor spaces of the hotel, and ensuring that the gardens, lawns and landscaping are beautifully presented and contributing to a serene and inviting atmosphere for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain gardens, lawns, and landscaping features to ensure a high standard of appearance and health.
• Perform gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, and weeding.
• Address plant health and maintenance issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager on landscaping projects and improvements.
• Keep gardening tools and equipment in good condition.
• Follow health and safety regulations related to gardening practices.
• Document gardening activities and report significant issues to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of plant care, landscaping techniques, and horticulture principles.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail in maintaining garden aesthetics.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
• A minimum of 1 year of previous experience as a gardener or in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or wellness setting.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an asset.
