Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and friendly Spa Therapist to join our team at the Verdala Wellness Hotel – AX Privilege. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and well-being, with experience in various massage techniques, body treatments, and spa therapies. As a Spa Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality spa services, tailored to meet the needs of our guests. You will also maintain a calm and welcoming environment, ensuring that all services are performed to the highest professional standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough consultations with clients to assess their physical condition, health history, and wellness goals, tailoring spa treatments to address their specific needs and concerns.
- Perform a variety of spa therapies, including massages, body treatments, facials, and hydrotherapy rituals, using appropriate techniques, products, and equipment to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations to clients on skincare, body care, and wellness practices, educating them about the benefits of regular spa treatments and self-care strategies for maintaining optimal health and well-being.
- Create a serene and inviting spa environment, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and ambiance conducive to relaxation, tranquility, and rejuvenation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including treatment notes, health assessments, and product recommendations, in compliance with spa policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the Head of Wellness and other team members to develop and implement innovative spa treatments, promotions, and packages that appeal to target clientele and drive revenue growth.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, providing exceptional service, personalised attention, and genuine care throughout their spa experience, cultivating loyalty and repeat business.
- Adhere to AX Hotels' values, mission, and brand standards, embodying a commitment to excellence, hospitality, and wellness in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Recognised qualification in massage therapy or spa treatments.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Spa Therapist in a luxury spa or wellness centre.
- Expertise in a variety of massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone) and other spa treatments (e.g., facials, body wraps).
- Strong commitment to delivering personalised services and creating a relaxing, rejuvenating experience for guests.
- Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills; knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanour in a high-end environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other wellness and spa staff.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A genuine interest in health, wellness, and ongoing professional development.
