Job Summary

Our team is looking for a reliable and skilled General Maintenance team member to join our team at The Verdala Wellness Hotel - AX Privilege to support the daily upkeep of the hotel. The successful candidate will carry out routine repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance, helping to ensure that the property remains safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and employees.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic maintenance work, including painting, minor carpentry, plumbing repairs, and basic electrical tasks.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks, including filter changes, lubrication, and minor adjustments.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest room maintenance requests.
• Assist senior team members with more complex maintenance work and installations.
• Identify and report major faults, hazards, and safety concerns to the relevant supervisor.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas in a clean and organised condition.
• Follow established health, hygiene, safety, and security procedures.
• Support the wider hotel operation by ensuring facilities and equipment remain safe and functional.
• Participate in relevant training and development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar maintenance position.
• Fluency in English; additional languages will be considered an asset.
• Practical knowledge of general repairs and maintenance work.
• Good problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Familiarity with relevant health and safety practices.
• Flexibility to work different shifts according to operational requirements.
